You’re probably now asking yourself, ‘why listen to this loser about uni life?’
Well,
I’ll tell you why. I’m no Uni lifestyle virgin, I’ve been living this
glorious lifestyle for just shy of three years. I’ve experienced
everything from Uni Games to holding an elite athlete scholarship to
even being a member of a Philosophy Society… don’t ask. These
experiences are why I’m here and I want to pass on my experiences as I,
once long ago, wanted inside into what I was getting myself into
socially when enrolling at uni.
I’m currently in my third
year of Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts at Macquarie Uni, majoring
in Geology and Human Resources if you happen to give a fuck… But wait
there’s more! To add to my authority on all things Uni, I started at
Sydney Uni studying a Bachelor of Science. It took me 2.5 years to
realise how horrible its undergraduate science program is which prompted
me to transfer to Macquarie. Which has amazing an amazing
undergraduate science degree. I love it. The moral at hand, don’t make
decisions based on reputation. Live and learn hey, take note!
If
you read that critically, you’re probably wondering why I decided to
pick up an Arts degree when I transferred. Well Arts, as much shit as
people give it, is rewarding. Although I only recommend doing Arts as a
double degree, it adds diversity and a mix of subjects to any program.
It’s wonderful. Also you don’t want to be that ‘Arts Student’ and we all
know that has negative connotations along with no employment,
sorrynotsorry… deal with it. So definitely combine it with another
degree.
