What you’ll find in
the next few weeks are the tips and tricks we wish we knew in our first year of
studies and how to make your average study life a little more rewarding.
The four admins,
(Josh, Rachael, Tharinda and myself, Karen) will guide you through some of the activities,
events and topics within university that you may or may not know about. We will
give you some first-hand pointers of surviving uni and actually making fun out
of it (Yes, beyond the books, all-nighters and tens-of-thousands of dollars in
debt you now have against your name).
We all have a history, but down to the basics, we all go to Macquarie University in NSW, Australia. We are in different majors, degrees and have come together to create this blog, just for you *insert cheek-pinches*. As much as we hate assignments and reading journal article after journal article, there are some great things about coming to uni and taking a course (and no, it’s not about the piece of paper you get after the blood, sweat and tears trying to get it whilst having some dignity left in you).
From Uni-games, festivals and the best clubs, to budget-shopping and job-searching: To all the new local and international students, we will introduce you to how we, the Uni students, DO!
